She went on to describe the joy of shooting ‘Vishwatma’ in Mumbai and across Africa, highlighting how the bond between the two grew stronger with every passing day. But what truly caught everyone’s attention was the actress’s account of a hilarious prank they once pulled together.

According to Sonam, both she and Divya were sharing a makeup room at Film City when they noticed a young actor working on his debut film right outside. That actor, Sonam revealed, went on to become a “huge superstar,” though she chose not to reveal his identity.

“We must have done it at least ten times,” she wrote, “and we laughed so much our stomachs hurt and tears rolled down our cheeks.”

In her heartfelt note, Sonam called Divya Bharti “a star who comes only once in a lifetime” and said her legacy will always shine bright. “That star was, is, and will always be Divya Bharti,” she declared.

Divya was one of the most promising stars of the early ’90s before her sudden death in 1993 at the age of just 19. Her films like ‘Deewana’, ‘Shola Aur Shabnam’, and ‘Dil Ka Kya Kasoor’ continue to keep her memory alive for generations of Bollywood lovers.
